Currently Salt's newest model, built for paddlers who want a very stable K1 without losing the feel of a racing kayak — a "Stable Beginner" boat for South African rivers. Multi-layered hull that flattens under the seat with a V-shaped nose across the first metre; substantial rocker for river manoeuvrability; lower cockpit edges for better technique and a less enclosed feel; narrower deck; tapered nose.
